The UK’s franchising industry is all set to witness a stellar showdown as the esteemed Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) kick-starts its seventh annual quest for franchising supremacy on Tuesday 1st August. Franchisors nationwide are enthusiastically preparing to showcase their acumen, creativity and impact in this increasingly competitive arena, with the application period commencing in less than two weeks’ time.
Since its establishment in 2017, the EF100 has grown into a pivotal annual event in the UK franchising industry’s schedule. Year after year, it diligently ranks franchisors on a plethora of factors – from the magnitude and pace of their growth to their indispensable role in empowering franchisees and enriching the communities they serve.
The jury panel for this year’s entries features distinguished members including Anita Roberts, franchise director from the lead sponsor, HSBC UK, Gillian Morris, UK head of franchising, seasoned industry figures like Carl Reader, chairman at d&t chartered accountants, and strategic advisors Pip Wilkins QFP, CEO of the British Franchise Association, and Tim Morris, MD of inbound communications specialist, Cymphony, among others. Anita Roberts from HSBC UK, one of the 25 expert judges this year, said: “The EF100 league table is an ideal platform to acknowledge the best in UK franchising. I am truly honoured to be part of the judging panel this year. I encourage any franchisor considering to participate to attend the virtual event on Thursday which will provide crucial insights on what your application should include.”
In addition to securing a place in the coveted top 100, participants also stand a chance to win special recognitions at the grand awards ceremony in London in early 2024. These include the BusinessesForSale.com EF100 Innovation of the Year Award, EF100 Emerging Franchisor of the Year Award and EF100 Community Builder of the Year Award, each acknowledging unique achievements in marketing innovation, performance by new franchisors and significant contribution to the franchise community, respectively.
Scott English, brand director of Elite Franchise, added, “The competition intensifies with each passing year, and we are eagerly looking forward to the entries for our seventh year.”
Entries open for the EF100 on Tuesday 1st August and conclude on Friday 30th September at 5pm.
