Consult Hyperion and Osmodal Group have announced their strategic partnership, extending Consult Hyperion’s global reach with local presence in Asia Pacific and in parallel, and strengthening Osmodal Group’s offering in both the UK and US markets.
In 2008, Consult Hyperion worked with TfL (Transport for London) on the technical feasibility, design and implementation of their Open-loop Contactless strategy across the transit network in London. Since then, Consult Hyperion has gone on to win significant projects in North America and around the globe, working with many of the world’s largest mass transit operators and authorities. In London, ten years after launch, two out of three journeys are enabled by contactless cards – over 2.5 billion journeys in total. Osmodal Group consultants have specialist expertise and an exceptional record of achievement in large-scale automated fare collection, payments and ITS programs and services. They have a unique pedigree in managing all facets of these programs from conceptto tender or bid, program mobilisation and delivery, transition, service implementation and program closure.
Chris Horswell, sales director for Consult Hyperion comments, “The dedication, experience and expertise that Osmodal brings will further extend the global reach of both businesses. Mass transit is a fundamental driver for economic growth and offers improvements in societal welfare in developed and developing markets. We believe by developing our relationship with Osmodal Group and increasing our local presence in APAC we can bring value to clients in this market with years of practical experience from delivering in other territories.”
Marcus Wright, managing director for Osmodal Group comments, “The depth of technical knowledge and experience in payment, fare collection and secure identity that Consult Hyperion bring to our partnership is the ideal complement to our own. Together our organisations will offer the combined capabilities of the largest and most experienced team in fare payments to our clients globally. This partnership offers a unique synergy which I hope will go from strength to strength.”
