Act Against Bullying, a leading UK anti bullying charity, has launched a new campaign aimed at reducing bullying and promoting kindness among young people to coincide with the Coronation. The AAB Coronation Kindness Campaign is suggesting schools crown their kindest students in a fun initiative to reward compassion and empathy in the classroom.
According to recent studies, bullying remains a pervasive problem in schools and communities across the country. Many young people report experiencing bullying or witnessing bullying behaviours, which can have lasting negative effects on their mental health and wellbeing. The Coronation Kindness campaign aims to address this problem by promoting kindness, empathy and respect as essential values for building healthy and supportive communities in the UK.
As part of the campaign, AAB is offering a range of simple resources designed to help schools and communities promote kindness and reduce bullying.
“We believe that kindness and empathy are essential values for countering bullying ,” says Louise Burfitt-Dons, founder of Act Against Bullying “Through the Coronation Kindness campaign, we hope to empower young people to make a positive difference during this historic week promoting kindness and reducing bullying. We invite schools, parents and community members to join us in this important effort to beat bullying.”
